‘Seinfeld’ Cast Reunite as Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Michael Richards Have Lunch for a Good Cause

Jerry Seinfeld has been inviting comedians to get coffee in cars recently, but it was his old friends Jason Alexander and Michael Richards who he had lunch with on Wednesday.

The beloved “Seinfeld” stars were reunited at the inaugural Los Angeles Fatherhood Lunch benefiting Baby Buggy at the Palm Restaurant in Beverly Hills, California.

Jerry, George and Kramer’s surroundings were a great deal fancier than Tom’s Restaurant, the New York diner they frequented on the classic NBC show, and no doubt the servers were a lot friendlier than the infamous Soup Nazi.

The trio were laughing like old friends and nothing much seemed to have changed between them since “the show about nothing” ended it’s nine season run in 1998.

“Seinfeld” writer Spike Feresten snapped a photo of the former co-stars, posting it on Instagram with the caption: “It’s a Seinfeld reunion at #BabyBuggyFatherhoodFantastic event and charity. @LoveRecycled@esquirenetwork #CarMatchmaker.”

The impromptu reunion was sparked by the “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” creator’s wife, Jessica Seinfeld, founder of Baby Buggy, a nonprofit that supplies families in need with child care essentials.

“I was honored to share this day with amazing fathers whom I also call friends,” Jerry Seinfeld said at the event, which raised $250,000. “The work that Baby Buggy does is instrumental in a father’s life, and in the lives of their children, and I am grateful that so many people came out to support it.”

Crackle renewed the comedian’s latest Emmy-nominated series for Season 6 in January. Upcoming guests will include Alexander, along with Aziz Ansari, Tina Fey, Amy Schumer, Howard Stern and Kevin Hart. Richards has also previously appeared on the show, playing Seinfeld’s boss and Sony’s faux Crackle President Dick Corcoran.

The web series will return this spring with Seinfeld as host and executive producer.
