Shoe of the Week-Chanel Cruise – The Well-Heeled

Happy New Year everyone!  Hope you have all had a fantastic Xmas and New Year holiday season. Ele and I are well rested and ready to kick off 2020 with a bang. We’ve got a lot planned for TWH this year and why not start with a dream shoe of the week. We couldn’t go past the Chanel cruise 2020 range. We feature two different styles this week but they are both so good we couldn’t choose. Enjoy!

What’s not to love with patent black and white leather. The first shoe featured here would actually be really comfortable. Ticks most boxes for our podiatry brains. Solid midi heel-tick, rounded toe box-tick and this extended upper around the ankle would provide a lot of stability. The only potential for discomfort here is if there is a retracted toe or wider forefoot there may be some irritation. Patent leather is not forgiving so avoid this one if it’s tight. TWH’s A3-Shoe Relief Spots would be of use if offloading is required.

This second shoe is screaming Emma Peel but in such a good way. We love it! Potential comfort issues here would be from the patent toe box. These can be really uncomfortable and cause irritation on the little toe. It may be wise to go up ½ a size to move the stitching line forward away from the toes. To avoid slipping forward in the shoe and provide extra comfort TWH’s A1-Original High Heel Corrector would fill the toe box nicely, stop any sliding/friction and provide more forefoot cushioning.

Anyway have a great week and as always happy shoe shopping.
