THEODORE ALEXANDER

Ted Allegrini, Creative Director of Theodore Alexander, is a young graduate of Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Fashion. In the fall of his senior year he had the opportunity to become co-creative director of NPRPA, a small ready to wear company based in Brooklyn, NewYork and Chicago, along side the accomplished Samantha Sleeper.

After graduating from Parsons in May 2010 and three successful seasons in the company, he left NPRPA in the capable hands of his partner to launch his personal collection of menswear, under the label Theodore Alexander, showing in New York’s Spring 2011 fashion week. The collection was featured in publications such as The Fashion Journal, Tantrum and online blogs like Bobbin Talk and Kilozoom.

Ted’s aesthetic is bohemian, seductive and romantic. His philosophy makes him strive for excellence in quality and attention to detail. “Clothing should be both beautiful and well crafted, there is no point in buying a designer piece if it is falling apart or irrelevant in six months.”

Ted is constantly working on new projects, recently designing accessories with Yigal Azrouel for his Fall 2011 collection. Striven to learn more about the industry and the processes behind the creation of the product he designs, he is constantly taking on exciting opportunities with local designers and companies.

Other side projects include a diffusion line called T&A to bring his tongue and cheek, slightly sarcastic attitude and unique masculine romance aesthetic to New York’s street style as well as bringing business to local graphic artists, who help design and produce his prints and graphics, and the garment center of NYC that he has come to know and rely on to produce his work.
