T&T Chanel Sizing Guide — THRIFT & TELL
I get a lot of messages asking about Chanel shoe sizing. The short answer: it’s tricky! Below are some of my general suggestions. Keep in mind that each Chanel shoe is finished by hand, so there can be variances between even the same shoe in the same size! Overall, I really recommend going to your local Saks, Neimans, or Chanel to try the shoes you want on; that way you’ll be ready to pounce when you see a good deal on Shop My Finds. Chanel Ballet Flats (Leather): I would say these somewhat true to size, but definitely on the smaller size. I normally wear a 7.5/8 in US sizes and wear a 38. I can fit into the 38.5 too, but they’re a bit more roomy. If in doubt, I’d definitely size up.
Chanel Ballet Flats (Patent): These run small and are narrow. Since they’re patent, they have less give and will wear in less, so I’d size up.
Chanel Ballet Flats (Quilted): These run small too. I need 38.5 in these!
Chanel Slingback Heel: You guessed it! These run small. The 38 was small on me, so I need the 38.5 and could almost fit in a 39.
Chanel Slingback Flat: The same fit as the slingback heel. I would size up a half size. I wear a 38.5
Chanel Espadrilles: The espadrilles are only carried in full sizes. This can make sizing a pain. The 38 felt a bit tight on me. I wear a 39 but feel they’re a bit big. I would say size up if in between sizes.
Chanel Sandals: These run very narrow! You may have noticed a lot of the Chanel sandals you see second hand are marked C. This refers to them being wide. The “C” Chanels are comparable width to any normal sandal. I find the ones not marked C to be so narrow your foot is falling off the edges.
