Welcome to Teacher Quality Programs (TQP)

The Teacher Quality Programs office works to implement Department initiatives that support and test innovations in the area of teacher and principal quality. The key goals of Teacher Quality Programs are to prepare and retain effective teachers and school leaders, and to encourage partnerships between LEAs, institutions of higher education, and community stakeholders in order to improve our nation’s schools and student achievement.
