The new MacBooks don’t have HD webcams, so we found a few for you

Apple revealed new MacBooks at its third hardware event of the fall Tuesday, which notably feature its M1 chip. What don’t they include? HD webcams.

While Apple says that the M1 chip on the new MacBook Air(Opens in a new tab) and MacBook Pro(Opens in a new tab) will improve video chat quality with more advanced noise reduction and face detection, the FaceTime cameras only have a resolution of 720p.

In our increasingly video chat-based world, that’s simply not gonna cut it. 1080p or bust, baby.
