Tyron Woodley gets “I love Jake Paul” tattoo and demands rematch
Woodley has followed through on the condition
Tyron Woodley has shown off his ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattoo as the former UFC champion pushes for a rematch against Paul following their first bout in August.
The YouTube star turned professional boxer was victorious against Woodley in their fight last month, winning on points after the bout went the full eight rounds.
Following the conclusion of their fight at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Woodley called for a rematch against Paul, with the latter agreeing to the 39-year-olds request, but only if the former UFC welterweight champion got a tattoo which said ‘I love Jake Paul’.
Nearly a month after their bout, Woodley took to Instagram to reveal that he has followed through on Paul’s condition, whilst also calling out the 24-year-old.
“I love you son. Now come and get this ass whippin’ cause i heard you been talking back to your elders,” Woodley wrote on Instagram.
Despite this, the possibility of their rematch remains in doubt after Paul dismissed the idea earlier this month, making reference to Woodley’s refusal to get the tattoo straight after their fight had finished.
“I’m leaving Tyron in the past. He didn’t live up to the bet; he didn’t get the tattoo,” said Paul. “So, the rematch just doesn’t make sense anymore.
“If he would have gotten the tattoo right away, got 10million views on his Instagram video, everyone would have been super hyped, there would have been a ton of press around it.
“And I would have been sort of forced to do it. I couldn’t really deny him then, because if he’s going to be a man of his word, then I have to be a man of my word.
“So, he f***ed up. He missed out on another big payday because of his ego.”
Considering this, it appears that a fight between Paul and Tommy Fury is more likely to take place – even though Fury has admitted that he has already declined fight offers from Paul.
