We swatched Chanel’s Le Vernis holiday nail shades (and they’re stunning)
Full disclaimer, I already have my nails done. I’d recently opted for some pink fire nail art (literally), and I’m truly obsessed with it. However, I just felt like something was missing. When it comes to my nails, more is more. So I decided to go over them with the Chanel Le Vernis Etoile top coat to see if the sparkle would amp up my final look. And, boy, did it do that – in seconds, too.
The brush is thin enough to contour the nail bed but big enough so that you only need two-to-three strokes to cover the whole nail with pigment. The polish dries quickly (and bonus, it’s perfect for distracting from any nail chipping or growth). It’s super versatile so you can apply it over gel nails, SNS, nail art or normal polish. It simply creates an added shimmer to your once dull-looking fingernails, and it truly stands the test of time, which is one of the many benefits of a clear top coat.
Upon drying, there is a tad bit of texture left on the nail from the varnish, but other than that, I’m sold. In fact, I’ve been non-stop staring at my fingers as I type this. Mesmerised.

I’ve got to be honest; I barely use nail polish. I’ve never really been able to find a polish that truly stands the test of time and wear. However, when I got offered the chance to test out the Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Polish, I thought, ‘Longwear? I’m sold; let’s test this out’. I had to try it and I was pleasantly surprised with the results.
The product is easy to use, the same as any nail polish. Although, you do definitely need to apply a few coats to stop any sheerness on the nail. Once the product was applied, it managed to stay on for days. Not to mention the colour I tried – the khaki-gold Clair De Lune – is absolutely gorgeous and super-rich. It’s really shiny and reflects a lovely light. It’s such a bold statement. Perfect for the autumn-winter season.
