The collection – which was inspired by Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel’s infatuation with animal décor – was classic Chanel with a touch of whismy. As for makeup, Butler showed off fresh skin with a glossy finish (no doubt the work of the Baume Esentiele Multi-Use Glow Stick). Brows were natural, cheeks were washed with poppy blush, and the lips were painted with bright gloss.
While there was a mix of shades, the standout was a bright popsicle red. Anyone with an interest in makeup will know that pigmented gloss is hard to get right, but Butler’s precise application makes for an impactful finish. Interestingly, the lashes were kept bare, letting the lips do all the talking (literally).
