Why ‘Value for Money’ is NOT Everything (42mm CK ETA 2824-2, sapphire crystal $154.44) | WatchinTyme

There was a time where my impulse buying would’ve rang this up in a second. Good specs, good components, great price. Now that said would I really ever wear it much. Not really. I have so many better looking or more interesting watches with similar specs that just buying for value is no longer a trigger button for me. How would this watch crack my 350 plus watch rotation? It wouldn’t even get more then a once a year wear. Now if I only had a few watches a watch like this would be a great addition for value for quality of parts. I’ve got to the point where even a cheap Timex quartz piece(or any overpriced quartz watch) that I can see wearing often would float my boat more then a value for components watch like this. It isn’t a value buy anymore if it’s just going to sit in a case never getting out of the house for a day. It’s just better off in someones else’s possession.
