Camila Cabello knows she’s lucky when it comes to her complexion. The 25-year-old “Havana” singer and L’Oreal Paris global ambassador admits to Women’s Health that her skin “cooperates pretty well.” But that doesn’t mean Cabello, who’s known for flaunting her killer abs whenever possible, has zero skincare concerns: “My issues are that I dry out and then I get blackheads and plugged pores. It’s kind of like a sandpaper texture on my skin.”
To remedy these problems, Cabello is diligent when it comes to cleansing (“I have to be good about making sure to wash off all my makeup,” she says) and exfoliating. And she has a secret weapon up her sleeves: Cabello swears by the , which she uses religiously at night.

The secret behind Cabello’s favorite serum
Cabello’s top pick combines several powerful active ingredients that combat myriad skin woes. A potent form of vitamin C stimulates plumping collagen (sayonara, fine lines), evens skin tone, and provides an overall brightening effect. Also in there is a hefty dose of blackhead-fighting, pore-refining salicylic acid, which gives skin a smooth-looking texture if used consistently.

The best part, according to Cabello, is the product’s lightweight texture (“I love the way a serum feels,” she says), which melts into her skin. “It’s so hydrating,” she adds. “I’m from Miami, so when I come to Los Angeles, my skin really feels the dryness. I always need extra hydration.”
Cabello invests in regular facials, too!
To complement her at-home skincare regimen, Cabello “loves a good old-fashioned facial.” It’s not about fancy high-tech devices or lasers for her; the habit is also, in large part, about just investing in self-care overall. “It’s less about the treatment and more about the intention and energy that goes into it,” she says. “It’s about setting aside some time to do something for yourself. Obviously, it’s a luxury and not everyone can do it, but it feels good when you can.”
Cabello’s glow is also due to how she fuels her body
In addition to her skincare routine, the singer drinks plenty of water, meditates for at least 10 minutes per day, and takes vitamins regularly. Not that she beats herself up if she misses a day or two: “It’s a constant practice and I have to remind myself to do those things,” she says. “But I fall off these things sometimes too.”
One thing she’s focused on heavily right now is working with a trainer three times per week, where she focuses mainly on strength training.“ And then on other days, I love to just walk,” she adds. “I’ll do 20 minutes on the treadmill at a five incline. Walking on a little bit of an incline feels good because you sweat, but you’re not gasping for air. It feels really doable.”
The singer just honored non-profit leaders
Cabello recently celebrated the 2022 L’Oreal Women of Worth event, honoring 10 nonprofit leaders from across the nation. The work of Jennie Lobato, the founder and CEO of drawchange, which empowers children from lower socio-economic circumstances through art therapy-based programs, has particularly resonated with the star.
“I went to public school and my drama teacher influenced me so much—that was my favorite part of going to school,” Cabello says. “Without that, I don’t know if my life would’ve changed as much as it did. Public schools go through so many budget cuts and the arts is usually the first thing to go, and I think that’s like a huge resource of happiness and stability for so many kids.”
