Abigail Klein Joins ‘Days of our Lives’ and ‘Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem’ as Stephanie Johnson
Actress Abigail Klein has been cast as Stephanie Johnson on both “Days of our Lives” and spinoff series “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem,” Soap Opera Network has learned. Klein will first join the Peacock streaming series in a recurring capacity when it returns for Chapter 2 in July before she moves over to the mothership series later this year on contract.
The role of Stephanie Johnson was last played by Shelley Hennig (“Teen Wolf”) when the character returned in 2017 for the wedding of her parents, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans). Stephanie’s siblings include Joey Johnson and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams). Hennig played the role from 2007-2011 before moving on to The CW series “The Secret Circle” and eventually co-starring in MTV’s “Teen Wolf.”
In 2011, Klein appeared in an episode of “The Young and the Restless” as a nanny. She followed it up with appearances on such shows as “90210,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Drop Dead Diva” and “Castle.” The former “Code Black” and “S.W.A.T.” actress also appeared in the 2014 blockbuster “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” and more recently co-starred in the Lifetime movie, “Christmas on Ice,” appearing opposite Ryan Cooper (“One Life to Live,” “And Just Like That…”). She played the role of Mimi in one of the final episodes of the sitcom “American Housewife” in 2021.
