Alexander Hiat Tisch – Wiki
Tisch is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. He sits on the board of directors of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the New York City Police Foundation and the Global Lyme Alliance. Previously, Tisch worked at Credit Suisse, arranging leveraged buyout financings along with handling merger and acquisition advisories. He also spent several years in the hedge fund industry and at the National Basketball Association focusing on business development. He previously served on the executive leadership team of Loews Hotels & Co. as chief commercial and development officer/EVP.
As Vice President of Loews Corporations, Alex Tisch focused on strategic planning, corporate development and financing. Alex served as a liaison to Loews Hotels & Co for the parent company.
In addition to his role at Loews Corporation, Alex is President of Loews Hotels & Co. As President, Alex, oversees key functions helping to bring the company’s growth strategy to fruition such as Revenue Management, Sales, Brand, E-commerce, Communications and Acquisitions & Development. He also is in charge of the company’s hotels in Orlando, Florida, where Loews Hotels & Co owns 50% of eight hotels in partnership with Comcast NBC Universal.
He married Bara Jennifer Weiss, a daughter of Karen and Howard Weiss of Boca Raton, Fla., in 2004. Rabbi Philip Hiat, a grandfather of the bridegroom, performed the ceremony at the Central Synagogue in New York.
