Balenciaga Named Fashion’s Hottest Brand for Q3 2021

Balenciaga has taken over the reins by becoming the world’s hottest brand of Q3 2021, as per Lyst‘s latest quarterly fashion report.

After 53 years, the fashion house returned to haute couture in July of this year, marking Demna Gvasalia‘s first couture range for the brand. In addition, the label also launched a Fornite collaboration, teamed up with Kanye West on his DONDA album merch, designed Kim Kardashian’s faceless look for the 2021 Met Gala, and presented its partnership with The Simpsons during Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2022.

Coming in second place is Gucci, which recently launched its Vault digital store. On top of that, the house reported an 86% revenue increase for Q2 and gained attraction from the unaffiliated House of Gucci movie trailer. Dior comes in third after its haute couture runway show and SS22 collection, while Prada is ranked fourth with its dual SS22 show in Milan and Shanghai. The brand’s Raffia tote bag has also become an essential accessory thanks to the latest TikTok crochet trend.
