Burberry Her Eau de Toilette Burberry perfume – a new fragrance for women 2022
Finally got my hands on a spray of this today. I was very shocked to smell no resemblance to the original Her DNA. It’s a pleasant scent and I love the pear note in it. Even though I am a dense gourmand lover, I appreciate pear done in the way Jo Malone does it as opposed to Jean Paul Gaultier. It’s a citrusy, sparkling pear in the opening and I’m assuming the black current is what gives the brightness and seemingly citrus note. There is a slightest of musk that I really enjoy in a light fragrance like this. The mid and the dry down are completely drowned by rose. A red rose at that. I happen to love rose, red and pink alike, but I think that’s what makes this not ground-breaking. If it either 1) had the Her DNA or 2) retained some of the opening notes throughout the life of the fragrance… I would love it much more. It makes me wonder if the nose behind this one was still Francis Kurkdjian; I’d have a hard time believing it. Ihad originally put this on my list of fragrances I wanted to purchase, but after writing this review I’ve realized I don’t have a reason to. I like-love the original and I love the intense. I was hoping for Her + pear. As much as I’m trying to convince myself of how this would be a great add to my collection…it just wouldn’t be. I already have my roses covered. But now… to find a spring pear. If only I could bottle the opening of this fragrance!
