My Experience with Burberry Kisses Hydrating Lip Color Sepia 85

Among a few lipsticks I picked up from Burberry, I picked only one from their ‘Burberry Kisses ‘ range. I am a huge matte lipstick person and Burberry Kisses is hydrating lip color range. I picked up the shade Sepia 85- it is a stunning rosy n*de color. A pretty much of ‘my lips but better’ and also the kinds that gives enough life to your skin. Sometimes n*de colors can totally wash you out. Sepia has enough warmth that it is great for all skin tones. I looove such every day shades. You apply your kajal and finish off with such no brainer lip color and you are good to go! 🙂 My husband once complained that I keep buying the same shades. Well, you know I can’t help it. Some shades are perfect and you can have them in multiples. 😛

The texture is gel-like buttery. It is soooo hydrating and soft that I keep pressing my lips against each other to feel the texture. 😀 The lipstick has a faint rosy smell to it but no taste.

The finish is semi glossy. Fro someone like me who rarely ever uses glosses, these kind of lipsticks are perfect. They look creamy glossy without really looking shiny. The shine kinda settles down after a half an hour or so and it starts looking like your own lips. The color makes your lips look soo natural and elegant. I wouldn’t lie, sometimes I stare at my own lips. loll!!!

The pigmentation is medium but with 2-3 swipes you can build up the color to its full opacity and it does not look cakey at all. The lipstick does not settle in fine lines nor does it smudge. But it is not a transfer-proof lipstick either. It transfers quite a bit I don’t mind that too much.

The staying power is average 3-4 hours and it pretty much disappears after that on me. If you are looking for solid long staying lipsticks from Burberry, I suggest give Lip Velvets or Lip Covers a go.

The packaging is glossy gunmetal grey with Burberry’s signature pattern embossed on both the lipstick and the case.

Overall, I totallly love this lipstick. I cannot wait to add a few more colors from Burberry Kisses collection. From where I picked up the lipstick, they did not have too many color options but they do have 23 colors in the range. I definitley can add a few more. 😀

If you like hydrating lipsticks and do not mind the touchups, you would absolutely love this range. And definitley check out this particular shade. It’s very universally flattering color. You might just find your perfect everyday color. 🙂
