Burberry Names NewJeans’ Danielle Global Ambassador
Rookie K-pop group NewJeans continues to take over the luxury fashion space with member Danielle named the newest global ambassador for Burberry.
Aged 17, the musician follows in the footsteps of her bandmates Hanni and Hyein, who have signed with Gucci and Louis Vuitton, respectively. The quintet, managed by HYBE-owned subsidiary label ADOR, made the announcement via Instagram.
It’s worth noting that Danielle is one of the first brand ambassadors for Burberry after the house confirmed Daniel Lee as its new Chief Creative Officer. The designer, having made headlines throughout his time at Bottega Veneta, is due to showcase his debut runway for the British heritage label on February 20 during London Fashion Week.
For those unfamiliar, NewJeans made their debut in the summer of 2022, making waves with their hits such as “Attention” and “Hype Boy,” which have all been praised by fans for their unique and refreshing style and aesthetic. Known for their heavily Y2K-inspired fashion, NewJeans’ members have been picked up by fashion brands one by one, proving the growing influence of K-pop on the fashion space.
