Burberry ” history of an immortal elegance “
Burberry is an English luxury brand, specialized in the production of clothing. Its beige Check print with red, black and white lines has rewritten the codes of British luxury clothing, and not only. The trench is the starting point of every collection of the brand: a piece of clothing genderless, timeless charm, combining tradition and modernity. A fusion that is the leitmotif of the Burberry men’s clothing collection, characterized by an unmistakable casual elegance: the brand creates tartan shirts, high quality knitwear, sweatshirts, tailored pants, padded jackets with a streetwear imprint. You can not miss the trench, revisited and proposed in different lengths, colors and materials. As for men’s accessories we can find cashmere scarves, leather sneakers and belts. The Burberry women’s clothing collection is representative of a femininity that blends refinement and modernity: there are coats and trenches with timeless charm, dresses made with fine yarns, skirts with tartan pattern and tailored structured blazers. The female wardrobe is complete with accessories such as scarves, deer leather gloves, bags with check print and leather boots.
Burberry stands out for its sporty – chic style. Refined, elegant, the brand is distinguished by its unmistakable British charm. A storytelling that oscillates between tradition and innovation, giving life to timeless and timeless elegance, shaped through the manufacture and craftsmanship of high quality. With a strong innovative approach, Burberry is constantly committed to the environment, to help achieve not only a future but an increasingly sustainable fashion: the Burberry Material Futures Research Group was born, an initiative aimed at inventing innovative materials with low environmental impact.
A story that began more than 150 years ago: it was 1856 when Thomas Burberry founded the Burberry brand in Basingstoke, England. Driven by the need to create clothing suitable for the British climate, in 1879 he invented the gabardine, a durable and waterproof cotton fabric: a material that not only determines the success of the maison, but also indelibly revolutionizes the history of outdoor fashion. In 1912, during the First World War, Burberry was commissioned by the British Crown to make the uniforms of the British Army: the Tielocken was born, the predecessor of the trench. Soon the maison achieved prestige and world fame becoming a style icon thanks to the invention in 1920 of “Check”, the tartan print now become a real trademark of Burberry. The brand, with a consolidated historical heritage, has been able over the years to adapt to the present: fundamental was the creative direction of Riccardo Tisci, ended in 2022 with the announcement of the new creative director Daniel Lee. Tisci has managed to reinterpret Burberry’s stylistic imprint in a contemporary way through a creative, avant-garde language, thus bringing the new generations closer to the brand.
