Designed by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey, these timepieces celebrate the British inspirations behind the global brand. The Britain marries craftsmanship and heritage with modernity and innovation.

This collection is an expression of the brand’s expertise in timeless design, appealing to the different attitudes of the Burberry man and woman. Engineering meets with design, combining innovative shapes with reliable function and the distinctive design reflects the function and craftsmanship at the heart of the brand and the spirit of the iconic Burberry trench coat.

The Rounded octagonal shape with distinctive bolts is inspired by modern British design and the iconic Burberry trench coat. Its Functional design combines with careful engineering to create elegant timeless watches for men and women. Multi-faceted case construction reflects light through a blend of brushed and polished steel surfaces.

Streamlined, simple dial emphasizes the iconic design of the case, with innovative domed case back. Transparent case back with sapphire crystal gives view into craftsmanship, magnifying the automatic movement. Anti-reflective, shock and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial and movement from the elements.

Alligator straps are inspired by the iconic Burberry colour palette, including trench, classic brown and matte black, and bracelets in stainless steel with brushed and polished surface combinations. Hands feature custom designed trench coloured Super Luminova Iconic Burberry colour palette including trench, matte black, gunmetal, stainless steel, dark brown, black.

The Britain represents all that Burberry stands for today as a brand built on design, innovation and function. The design is in the detail — all influences from the iconic Burberry trench coat, from the D-rings and trench coloured dials, to these strong bolts that hold the case and protect the movement from the elements.

Timepieces from the collection are equipped with high precision Swiss made movements and the hand applied details throughout, inspired by the components of the iconic Burberry trench coat. Its Complex case construction protects the movement from the elements.

The Custom designed bolts, screwed down by hand, reach through the crown and bezel into the elegant curved back which completes the case. The Automatic movements feature circular Geneva Stripes engraving and Burberry logo on the rotor.

Movement features intricate material combinations for a spectrum of colours, including black, grey, stainless steel and fuchsia.

The Unique gradation technique creates two depths on the face of the dial with micro-engraved Burberry logo on inner case wall. The Hand stitched alligator leather straps available in custom iconic Burberry colour palette.

The construction of The Britain requires countless individual processes skillfully performed by hand by incredible craftsmen. It’s a combination of beautiful craft with real functionality, mirroring the same attention to detail and passion that goes into everything.

Burberry ‘The Britain’ Limited Edition Trench Gold Watches

Exceptionally crafted – The Britain – in limited edition trench gold is available in 50 individually numbered watches for men and women with mechanical movements and automatic winding. Case is made of 18K trench gold, featuring a distinctive gold hue celebrating the iconic Burberry trench coat at the heart of the brand and the inspiration behind The Britain.

The limited edition watches feature a custom rotor with iconic Burberry check finishing. Designed by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey, these models will be available exclusively from Burberry.com and selected Burberry stores from September 2013

The collection includes an automatic chronograph movement for men for the first time in the Swiss Made collection, reflecting the brand’s heritage of craftsmanship, built on outfitting explorers 34-piece case reflects light through a combination of polished and finely brushed surfaces.
