Calvin Richard Klein is an American fashion designer who, in 1968, founded the business that would eventually become Calvin Klein Inc. He attended the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan before enrolling at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where he was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2003 despite never receiving a diploma.
