I had a terrible experience at the Chanel Bondi junction boutique today when I went to look for a Chanel Boy Bag released this season. On viewing the bag, I clearly saw that the bag was made in France, which was also backed up by the Chanel Australia website.
I went away, and after careful consideration, I came back to purchase the bag 2 hours later.
When I got home after purchasing the bag, I was shocked when I opened the box, as they had swapped the bag with an identical style but made in Italy, which was not what I saw at the store in perso

n. The only reason I came back to purchase the bag was due to it being made in France and not Italy, and I double checked this with the sales person, where she confirmed it was made in France. Clearly Chanel have falsely advertised to their customers as to where the goods are made.
They should be telling customers up front, which they clearly did not.
After calling back, I was met with shouting by the sales person who was in denial of giving me the wrong bag, and only offered a store credit which was not what I wanted. Be careful when you purchase any products from Chanel to make sure you are getting the same product you see.
I will take this matter further until I get the right product I saw or a full refund.
Never expected a designer brand of their reputation to do something like this.
