Chanel bags every window at Harrods

Harrods has devoted the entire length of its Brompton Road facade to a single fashion house for the first time.

All 23 window displays of the Knightsbridge store have been devoted to Chanel’s autumn/winter collection.

Featuring packs of wolves in Chanel outfits, plus unicorns, owls and deer, they follow the “enchanted forest” theme of creative director Karl Lagerfeld’s latest ready-to-wear range. The three-week promotion is believed to have cost about £4 million.

Chanel is occupying 20,000 sq ft in Harrods’s biggest tie-in with a single retailer. There are pop-up stores for fashion and beauty, and a walk-through “experience”, Une Promenade.

Exclusive designs include an £1,830 “Harrods green” shopping bag.
