Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

I’ve been wearing Chanel perfumes for more than half my life. I honestly believed that I would go to the grave wearing this fragrance but my latest purchase of it has put me off forever (if I was buried in this I would haunt the person responsible for the rest of their life).

I purchased the EDP for $240 thinking that it would smell exactly how it has for the past 15 or so years. What I actually bought was something with a strong chemical undertone so offensive I now use it to deodorise my toilet.

version of the product (despite getting it from Myer) so I checked the batch number online and all checked out. I then contacted Chanel to complain and all I could get out the customer service rep was “I’ll pass your feedback onto our developers”. When I challenged this, I was advised that I should have sampled the product at the place of purchase to ensure it was the scent I’m after. I get better customer service at McDonalds! Needless to say, I will no longer be purchasing anything from Chanel in the future.
