Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Perfume Review – Charlotte Ruff

So this week marked a big transition; summer to autumn.  A culmination of events lead to me deciding this, besides the date of course.  Number one; I had my first bath in months, number two; I wore my new winter coat for the first time because it was cold outside and number three I’ve changed my summer perfume for my winter one.

I’m not one of those people that has five or six perfumes on the go at any one time.  I’m strictly a one perfume girl; one for summer and one for winter.  Ok that’s two.  For winter I adore wearing my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and luckily my mother replenished my stock for my birthday this year.  For those of you that haven’t smelt Coco Mademoiselle where have you been?  It’s a heavenly scent which smells of the oriental with undertones of jasmine.  My personal opinion is that it is a heavier scent than my Ralph Lauren Romance and I know this may sound silly but it smells warmer(I guess musky would have been a better word there) and more like winter (even though it’s suppose to be quite floral.) The full list of ingredients are (taken from Chanel website):

  • Top notes: orange, bergamot, mandarin, Tunisian curaçao
  • Middle notes: morning rose, Italian jasmine, ylang-ylang, mimosa, florentine iris
  • Base notes: Indonesian patchouli, Haitian vetiver, Bourbon vanilla, white musk, opoponax, tonka bean

I think the reason I love it so much might have something to do with the orange and mandarin top notes as I adore anything that smells remotely like citrus.

Have you tried Coco Mademoiselle or do you have a winter scent?
