Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush

I picked this up at my local Chanel counter in Farmers because I had a bunch of vouchers to use and basically I have worked out the be at way to purchase Chanel skincare locally is stock up while Farmers are doing double points, and when there is no double points offer but I really need something, I will spend my vouchers. This is my first Chanel blush and I picked a nice deep pink which the sales assistant said is very popular and was the last one. It was $95 and I also picked up a highlighter as well. There is a total of 12 shades.

What I got

This is the Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in 320 Rouge Profond. A soft, silky powder blush that enhances the complexion with a touch of colour and radiance. In a wide range of shades. For easy application and touch-ups, the compact includes a deluxe brush.

How I find it

The compact came in the signature black and gold Chanel box. All compacts come in a black velvet pouch and the compact is black with the gold CC logo on the outside. Inside, the compact has a small mirror and it comes with a brush on the side. The round dome shape of the blush is reall cute and it is super pigmented! The shade that I got is quite deep so I need to use a really light hand and tap off excess before I apply the blush. If I do overdo it with the blush, I will either use what’s left on the foundation brush to lightly buff on top or use setting powder to soften it.

Overall

This bright coral-pink shade is super beautiful but it is way too pigmented so I need to use a very very light hand. This looks really nice on medium to deeper skintones but might be too deep for lighter skintones. I think a more skin-like or soft shade will be much easier to use so I might try other shades, but the formula doesn’t get patchy, but it does fade during the day.
