Chanel Rouge Allure Intense 136 Melodieuse – Ang Savvy

I love Corals and Pinks. They are my favorite colors in a lipstick. Chanel Rouge Allure Intense Long-wear Lip Color in 136 Melodieuse is a combination of both colors. It is a bright coral-pink that will probably look good on most skintones.

Chanel describes it:

The next generation of ROUGE ALLURE dresses lips with unmistakable attitude. A new formula with concentrated, ultra-thin pigments offers radically intense, long-wearing colour with full coverage and a satin finish. Leaves lips supple and protected with lasting comfort.

I bought it from Chanel in Rustans Makati for roughly Php1,650. It is available for $35 from Neiman Marcus as well as from Nordstrom.

The swatches on my arm doesn’t do it justice as it’s much more beautiful in person. It also is kind of sheer on the arm swatch.

Application is fairly easy as it glides on the lips without any tugging or resistance. It is also opaque in 1 swipe but I always do a second swipe after I blot the first.

I am very much in love with Melodieuse. It has a very beautiful color, it doesn’t dry out my lips, and is even a bit moisturizing. What more can I ask for?
