Chanel shoes fall 2019 is about platform wedges and snow boots
A snow filled mountain village with faux snow falling down is the runway set of the late Karl Lagerfeld’s last show for Chanel. Like many other shows of Chanel, the runway set is perfect down to details like branded skis leaning against fences or steaming chimney.
Began with a moment of silence to honor the former creative director, the show was led by Cara Delevingne as the music started. Other than the signature checked tweed, there were also wide-legged trouser suits, long trench coat, cropped pants with skirts etc. It’s a collection mixed of easy going streetwear with highly sophisticated timeless Chanel styles.
As for the shoes, the ultra-high platform wedges was reintroduced with new twists. Grounded on white sleek base, the contrasted beige toe box was completed with laced up white pull on upper. The pebbled details on the back added a touch of athleisure finish while the brand logo was riveted on the side.
The snow boots were crafted down to earth functional without compromising on the elegant style of the collection. Also featured with lace up front for the pull on shaft, the shearling detailed ankle boots looked warm and comfortable. The delicate golden chain on top added another signature statement of the brand. The row of golden studs around the outersole enhanced the classic style with an edgy vibe.
