Craft a Unique Parisian bag with Chanel Products

This was a really fun experience and our bags turned out beautiful! We were involved in every single step starting with picking out fabric, to ironing, cutting, gluing, and attaching various parts. Depending on the type of bag you pick, you will either sew it or the sewing will be done by the people in the shop. There were hundreds of fabrics and decorations to choose from!!
It is a pretty chaotic environment as well. Only one person to help about 14 people and once she shows you a step, you are expected to remember how to do it. Luckily all the people in the workshop also help each other and even make friends that way!
While it was a fun day and the finished product is beautiful, I was incredibly shocked by the price at the end. The price of the workshop includes a bag worth 85 euro. What is very unclear until you get there is that every piece of the bag has tiered pricing- so it is possible to stay within 85 euros but very difficult. For example, the fabrics are tiered pricing in 5 tiers and you have to pick fabrics for 4 parts of the bag. To stay within 85 euro, you have to pick the lowest tier of fabric for each part of the bag- but that’s not feasible as those are the least aesthetically pleasing fabrics! My daughter and I each made a bag and our total cost at the end was more than the workshop itself. This was very shocking. Had I known that the entire thing would be 700 USD, I would definitely not have signed up for it. Another mom/daughter who did the workshop with us had the same experience and sticker shock.
That all being said, if you are aware of the cost up front and are ok with it, it was a super fun afternoon and you get a lovely souvenir and memories for a lifetime!
