Domhnall Gleeson Stars as Burberry Founder Thomas Burberry in New Short Film

It’s not every day that an Academy Award-winning director helms a short film for a fashion label, but that’s exactly what Burberry has on its hands with its brand new piece, The Tale of Thomas Burberry. Directed by Asif Kapadia (whose 2015 Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, took home the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature), the film stars none other than Domhnall Gleeson (The Revenant, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ex Machina, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) as the titular Thomas Burberry and shines a stylish light on the brand’s founder as it reimagines the events that have shaped the English luxury house’s 160-year history.
