Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo Vs Instax Mini LiPlay: Side by Side Image Comparison
Fujifilm Instax cameras are now the most popular instant cameras on the market. From these instant cameras, the Instax mini series holds the largest portion of the market. And the latest Instax mini camera is the Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo. With its retro camera-like design, how does this new Instax camera compare against the previous Instax Mini LiPlay?
Fujifilm currently offers two kinds of Instax cameras. There are true analog film cameras, such as the Instax SQ1 and the Instax Mini 90, and there are digital cameras that print on Instax film, such as the Instax Mini LiPlay and the new Instax Mini Evo. The Instax Mini LiPlay and the Instax Mini Evo are two of the latest Instax Mini cameras from Fujifilm.
Interestingly, it seems that both of these instant cameras are using the same hardware components. Both cameras use a 28mm (equivalent) lens with an f/2.0 aperture with a 1/5″ CMOS sensor that has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,920. This may seem like a relatively low resolution, however, it has been optimized for the film size that these cameras print on.
Despite the fact that both cameras seem to use similar hardware, there is a huge difference in the results each camera produces. The Instax Mini Evo produces images that tend to have better exposure when using the auto exposure features. Also, colors from the Instax Mini Evo end up looking more vibrant and attractive in comparison to the Instax Mini Liplay.
The only unfortunate thing about the Instax Mini Evo is that Fujifilm currently only offers the camera in one color. Aside from this, it seems Fujifilm has done a great job with its latest instant camera. Check out the full video linked above to the results and the detailed side-by-side comparison.
