thumbs up

lThis serum is meant to protect the skin so that dark spots and hyperpigmentation do not develop. What’s interesting about this is that this formula is vitamin C sensitive skin-friendly and it defends against free radicals. It also diminishes the appearance of  sun related dark spots without the irritation. My thoughts: This actually gave me essence like vibes.  It was very lightweight and it absorbed very quickly. Waiting one minute after applying and before moving on to the next step in the routine is recommended. I used this mainly at night and followed up with the renewing cream. They are a great pair, my face was hydrated and felt nourished.

not for me, but not bad

So, I have had a sneaking suspicion that I may be in the 1% of people that have a sensitivity to niacinamide, and unfortunately this whole line proved my theory right. I used the entire line for a few weeks, and everything felt wonderful, but I found my skin getting red, rough and sensitive the longer I used them. I had to discontinue use, but I think if you are in the majority of the population this would be an excellent daytime brightening serum. It was lightweight, absorbed well, laid well under other products, no fragrance, and good ingredients, so I still give it a 4 star rating, but I have gifted the whole line to my boyfriend, so hopefully he’ll start a skincare regimen.

Great Vitamin C serum

I don’t normally use any cetaphil products, but this healthy radiance line is right up my alley. I believe that Vitamin C is a super important ingredient in a good skin care routine, no matter if your 30 or 55. Vitamin C has so many benefits to the skin, it treats hyperpigmentation, or stimulates collagen production, it’s an antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage as well. I came across this at Rite Aide and it was listed 50% off, so it was only about $12. It also has Niacinamide which is also an amazing ingredient that also brightens the skin, evens skin tone and gets rid of dark spots. That along with some other great antioxidants I have to say it’s a great product that could easily cost $30. Super happy I found it

Smells bad

I hate the smell of this product, something chemical. I have many other Cetaphil products and this is the only one with that issue.

My results…

So I bought this in addition to another C serum I had been using hoping for more noticeable results. I love oil-free non- clogging serums! I wear glasses and sun glasses and I have noticed those leaky left behind marks on my nose from the area where my glasses rest. The first time I used this, it lightened up, I was impressed. My skin looks brightened but I don’t think it lightened up any other spots. Not sticky, I use small amountsso my face doesn’t get sticky and then apply little by little unveil I cover the rest of the area. I don’t know if I’ll replace once I’m out. This is also a little pricey. I bought mine from Walmart. I let this dry a minute like it says and then apply my moisturizer as I learned from Dr. Lee, serums before moisturizer.

Things that have made no difference.

I have some dark spots due to ingrown hairs that I’ve been trying to get rid off. I saw reviews of these products and decided to buy them. I’ve used them for about a month and half now and there is literally no difference in my dark spots. I apply the serum daily and also use a cetaphil sunscreen as well. The only plus is that it makes my face feel clean( with the cleanser) , the serum on the other hand makes my face a bit tight. Im going to continue using them until I’ve run out and then maybe try something different.

packaging problem, product okay

This was my first time using a c-serum or Cetaphil, so I was excited at first. You apply this after cleansing and wait 1 minute before moving on to the next step of the skincare regimen/routine. I haven’t noticed a drastic difference in my skin’s appearance, but I think it’s doing some good. I give it 3 rather than 4 stars because the tip of the tube which the product comes out of got a crack in it and then ripped off completely with the cap :/ This was unfortunate, but I’m making it work I guess.

Smelly

I wanted to like this. It feels great on my skin, but I cannot get past the smell. I will be returning it. Not sure how to explain the smell, but it smells expired/old
