Justin Bieber Stars in Calvin Klein’s New Ad Campaign

Thanks to Justin Bieber’s robust social-media presence, we know that the one-time teen can play basketball, play hockey, and skateboard. And now we know that he can drum.

That latest bit of knowledge comes courtesy of Calvin Klein, which today posted on Twitter a six-second video of the 20-year-old pop star pounding on a kit before embracing a blond model.

The video and official announcement, which just came through, confirmed long-running rumors that Bieber would be the intergenerational heir to Mark Wahlberg’s underwear for the campaign way back in 1992, before Bieber was even a teen, or born, which makes a certain sort of sense.

Here’s a look at the campaign, which stars Bieber and model Lara Stone.

But the brand star crossings didn’t stop there today. Cooler-than-thou French fashion label Céline also caused its own stir on social media, with its own latest ad campaign. That’s because it stars Joan Didion, another former teen. Didion is an author rapturously beloved by the cool kids in both the fashion and literary sets, so that makes a certain sort of sense as well (even if the image of Didion, 80, caught in photographer Juergen Teller’s cranked-up flash feels a little left field at first). Cool?
