Controversial Pop Star Fronts Brand For SS15

In a move that’s been on the cards since last year, American fashion brand Calvin Klein has unveiled opinion-dividing singer Justin Bieber as its latest poster boy. After releasing a teaser video of the artist drumming away earlier this week, the appointment was later confirmed by the release of full campaign shots on Twitter. Alongside Dutch model Lara Stone, Bieber fronts Calvin Klein’s campaign for spring 2015, pictured in a serious of provocative shots taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in New York City. Inspired by the iconic Kate Moss and Mark Wahlberg Calvin Klein ads of 1992, Bieber and Stone are captured in black and white, wearing various pieces from the label’s infamous branded underwear and denim collection. Meanwhile, Bieber is not the only young pop star hoping to emulate Wahlberg’s success. Nick Jonas recently stripped down to his Calvins to recreate one of the shoot’s famous poses, despite not being part of a campaign. A boy can only dream.
