Kutuzov, Alexander | piano | 74th Dubrovnik Summer Festival

Alexander Kutuzov was born November 18, 1996 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Russia). At the age of six he moved to Tver and began to practice music at the Art School No.1 in Tver. His teacher was Kirillova Alla Markovna. Now he is a student at the Moscow State College of Music studing with Prof. Maxim Phillipov. 2008 at the age of 12 he was awarded the Golden Medal at the Russian Delphic Games, the Grand Prix at the International Bluthner Competition in 2010 and the 2nd prize and the EMCY Prize at the International Competition for Young Pianists ‘A Step Towards Mastery’ in 2011. 2011 he also succeeded at the ‘IV Nasedkin Piano Competition for Youth,winning the Grand Prix and once again at the 2012 Russian Delphic Games winning the Golden Medal. Moreover he prooved his talent at the 2012 ‘International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz’ where he received the Golden Medal as well as the EMCY Prize. Soon after,in September 2012, he won the first Prize at the 7th International Tchaikovsky Competiton for Young Musicians“ in Monstreux (Swiss) He also participated in the International Rheingau Music Festival as well as the International Festival ‘Moscow Meets Friends’. In May 2014 Alexander had his german Debut with NDR Symphonie Orchestra in Hamburg.
