Niacinamide Serum – Good Molecules | Ulta Beauty

I did not expect this to be this GOOD

I bought this product in a big ulta order and honestly I forgot that I even bought it until it came. It wasn’t like I researched it heavily before I bought it I just looked up best niacinamide serums and picked the one that came up on ulta. The first time I put this on, I think my jaw dropped. It was so silky, smooth, and thin, but penetrating. I don’t think I really understood what a good serum was before this? that was pretty cool, I noticed my skin look bouncier and more glossy after just the first to use. this morning, though, I discovered its best use in my opinion other than its long term effects. My makeup has never looked so flawless as when I put this on underneath. I was having problems with my foundation gathering around a few little tiny drop spots I figured it was just the cheap foundation I was using. then I put this on underneath and my face looked like a model’s photoshoot the whole day. not one spot of dryness and my makeup stayed put. this is LIFE CHANGING. BUY THIS. (I don’t think I’ve ever raved like this in a review before but this product. wow.)
note: The first time I put this on I got a little nervous after about 2 minutes because my skin started tingling and usually for me that means an allergic reaction. HOWEVER. My skin never reacted at all, and the internet says a lot of niacinamide serums tingle faintly. if it tingles, don’t get nervous right away, give it a second to see if it flares up, and if it’s burning, wipe it off and don’t use it again. 🙂

disappointed 🙁

I read all of these great reviews about this product and chose to ignore the bad ones. I should have listened. I wanted to love this product in hopes it would perfect my skin. I have been using it for about two weeks and have been noticing small bumps/pimples forming on my forehead, around my mouth, and near my jawline which is an area I NEVER breakout in. I was upset because I had just cleared these areas up and just gotten over a bad breakout only to have to deal with another breakout. Although not major, I would have preferred to avoid it. I will say that in the first week of using this product I had a pimple in my nose area which cleared out completely when I used this serum to spot treat. I also used this product more heavily on my nose and did notice some minor improved smoothness of my skin as far as my pores. But these two positives are not enough to weigh out the negatives for me, since I want a product to use for my entire face without having to worry about a breakout. I will be returning this product unfortunately, but I do like another good molecules product. This one simply did not workout for me

I got this product thinking it will help with my skin texture and some acne scarring. At first impressions, I really loved it because it had no tacky feeling and completely absorbed into my skin and with my skin being very oily this was a perfect match. However after a couple weeks I noticed that I had more whiteheads than usual and even started getting the inflamed type of acne which I usually don’t get. I was also using panoxyl 10% with this so I thought this effect was a result of purging do to the benzoyl peroxide. However after being discouraged by no results (about one and half months later) I stopped using this serum and just used the panoxyl with a moisterizer and surprisingly my acne became less irritated. I do believe the concentration of the niacinimide is what irritated my skin. So if you do decide to buy just be wary of the concentration and maybe start of with a lower one.

Used to use this product but the smaller version and I don’t know if they used different formulas or what but from 5 months ago it’s very different. It smells like weed (which it never used to smell like that) and made me breakout in hives all on my face (which has never happened to me before with this product). For reference i have sensitive skin, normal-oily and really bad acne.

I have oily/normal skin and when I first started using niacinamide, I used the ordinary’s niacinamide. However I was looking for something a bit stronger so I started using the good molecules niacinamide! It’s my favorite serum and I use it every day and night. Since I’ve started using it I’ve noticed a decrease in breakouts and it helps a lot in regulating the amount of oil my skin produces!

One thing to note, my friend tried this serum and it didn’t work well for her. She has dryer more sensitive skin so definitely do a patch test!

Im stuggljng with texture and acne. This doesn’t help, i’ve the bottle til the last drop and my skin hasn’t gotten any smoother. I would not repurchase.
