Quality Matters Certification
Quality Matters is the quality assurance program used at Marshall University for the development and approval of online or hybrid courses. Through our affiliation with WVNET, the Online Learning office will support the tuition for six of the QM workshops provided by the national program. Only one course is required of faculty to obtain the QM endorsement to teach online (100% online or e-course) or hybrid courses (virtual, technology-enhanced, or hyflex). Every three (3) years, faculty must re-certify their Quality Matters endorsement with one course.
The introductory and rubric workshops introduce participants to the Quality Matters program and the QM rubric used to assess the design of online courses and approval for listing online or hybrid courses on the schedule.
Enrollment in all QM classes is limited; please do not register if you are not certain you will be able to complete the workshop.
