Reddit – Dive into anything

In case you have no clue what I’m talking about, here’s a very short version: a woman (Jodi Arias) gruesomely kills her ex-boyfriend (Travis Alexander) in his apartment by firing a single bullet into his head and slashing him 27 times with a knife, almost decapitating him, because he had moved on and she couldn’t bear it; turns out she’s a sociopath and a pathological liar who planned the murder and cover-up weeks prior, at the same time not very smart, as she refused to confess even when faced with tons of hard evidence, offered many made-up stories before settling for a ridiculous self-defense one which, of course, didn’t work out, so she received a life without parole, dodging death sentence by an inch.

The world was saddened and disgusted. A young, handsome man, living a good life, loved by his friends and family… killed by a lunatic ex-girlfriend who couldn’t live and let others live. He had enough of her and broke up, but she stalked him, threatening him, hacking into his social media, ruining his relationships with other women. By his own words, she was the worst thing that happened to him and was scared of her.

Yeah… Well, that’s bullshit.

After reading through their conversations by SMS, e-mail and such, you get a whole different picture. He was a 30 years old adult, but was on the emotional and mental level of a 16 years old. He had absolutely no understanding of himself, changing his behavior as the wind blows.

He “broke up” with her, but at the same time was furious and insulted her for seeing another guy.
He “moved on”, but still regularly reached out to her to hang out and have sex.
He “hated her”, yet he expressed his love and apologies to her after every single “you are the worst thing that has ever happened to me” tantrum.

She slashed his tires twice because she saw him with another girl. Twice. And he knew it was her and yet didn’t think much of it, she actually accompanied him to the mechanic. Like, oh, stuff happens, what can you do.
He was with another girlfriend in his own apartment when a sound awoke them, and they went downstairs to find her sitting in the kitchen in the dark, stating, without any shame, that she snuck in by doggie doors and watched them while they slept. Again, he was like, ooooh, yeah, that’s not nice of you.
He was with the same girlfriend in her apartment when the security alarm was set off, as someone tried to get into the house. Again, what can you do, people try to break into the houses all the time,
The same girlfriend receives anonymous e-mail filled with threats, and he knows she sent it because she has his passwords, so he’s a bit angry, but nothing quite enough to even think about doing anything about it.

During all those events, their relationship is intact. They communicate on daily basis, go on trips, Travis even coming to her house for sex. On the day she came to his house to kill him, he let her in. Not only did he let her in, but they also had sex. He even took photos of her lady parts.

Because, you know, that’s what you do when there’s your lunatic ex out there. When you are scared of someone, you let them into your home. When you move on and want nothing to do with them, you have sex with them. You never call the police to report assaults, you never ask for a restraining order from a stalker, you never listen to friends and family who urge you to realize the toxicity of the relationship.

No, you aggravate the lunatic even more by kicking her out of a planned trip without even telling her and replacing her with another girl you are hoping to bang. Surprised Pikachu face she’s furious when she finds out and starts planning to kill you.

Basically, two absolute idiots got together and nothing good was ever going to happen.
