Reddit – Dive into anything
Hello to my fellow astro hoes!
My true crime astrology podcast, The Astrology Of… Podcast, just wrapped up our series on the astrology of Jodi Arias and Travis Alexander!
I’ve attached both charts (Jodi, the killer, and Travis, the victim) for us to look at and examine.
If you don’t know the story of Jodi Arais and Travis Alexander, it’s a wild one, but for a quick recap: Jodi and Travis met in 2007 at a work conference. They hit it off immediately and began a long distance relationship. They had a TOXIC relationship, high key codependent and a little more than obsessive. Eventually Travis had enough and broke up with Jodi, which of course prompted her to move TO his city AFTER they broke up. They continued hooking up, unable to detach from one another. Eventually Jodi lost it and savagely killed Travis. Eeek.
One of the first things I noticed when looking at their charts were honestly how similar they were!
They both were Taurus risings, they both had Chiron conjunct their ascendant (and making aspects to their respective Suns), they were both ruled by Venus in Gemini in their second houses, they both had Uranus opposite their ascendants, and they both had Uranus in their 7th houses! Yikes!
To me, the fact that Chiron is on both their ascendants AND making aspects to their Suns is highly notable. Both of them separately struggled with feelings of isolation, feeling like outcasts, and a deep concern and vulnerability when it came to what other people thought about them.
Can’t ignore that both of them having Uranus in the 7th AND opposite their ascendant was a huge signal for attracting disruptive, unconventional, and (as we see between them) chaotic partners. Helllllo, you can say that again!
Also have to note that while Jodi had a superior Sun square pluto aspect going on indicating that she would be prone to engage in power struggles, domination, and manipulation, Travis actually had his Moon in an inferior square to Pluto, indicating that it would be easier and more likely that he would be the subject of humiliation, manipulation, and being dominated.
A match made in hell.
We go WAY more in depth in the podcast, but I’d love to hear what y’all think about their birth charts!
