Cursed is a 2020 show on Netflix that reimagines a classic Arthurian tale, but this time focused on the fey witch, Nimue. Co-starring in the show is actor Gustaf Skarsgård, who plays the legendary character of Merlin. The show follows the journey of Nimue who, after her mother’s death, must deliver the Sword of Power to Merlin.

Skarsgård played the role swimmingly and had many fans giving praise for his unique portrayal of the character. His handsome looks added a new level of intrigue compared to the old and white-bearded one from legends.

Bill Skarsgård: Hemlock Grove (2013–2015) – 7.1

Bill Skarsgård co-starred as Roman Godrey, a type of vampire being known as Upir. Skargård had the haunting and chiseled looks to play the role.

Bill Skarsgård was just one of many great actors in the star-studded cast of the Netflix movie The Devil All the Time. The gothic thriller explores a number of intertwining stories of murder and crime in a rural community.

It may be hard to spot him under the layers of makeup and prosthetics, but Bill Skarsgård played the terrifying role of the shape-shifting clown Pennywise in It. The remake of the popular horror film was a major success, and partly because of Skarsgård’s portrayal of the notorious murderous clown.

Skargård has said in previous interviews that the creepy smile and rolled eyes are actually a trick he used to do as a child. It leveled up the scare factor into absolutely terrifying. He even once scared his young castmates. Skarsgård was the perfect fit for the role.

Bill Skarsgård appeared in another Stephen King on-screen work, but this time based on the fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine. Castle Rock is a horror anthology series that interweaves many of King’s famous tales, a fun cast of actors and Skarsgård played a significant role in the show’s first season.

He played “The Kid” or “The Angel,” who would later make a guest appearance in season two. The character is a prisoner at the famous Shawshank State Penitentiary. He’s not there by choice and was hidden in an unused part of the prison. Once released, his character crosses paths with the main character. Skarsgård brought eeriness to the role that was chilling.
