The world’s most beloved brands – Tiffany’s best-rated in the US, Burberry number-one in UK | Daily Mail Online
A recent report has laid bare the world’s most beloved brands – with high-end sellers like Tiffany and Burberry among several taking the top spots.
The results come from an analysis of millions of tweets involving more than 2,000 global brands ranging from clothing stores, brewing companies, and food distributers.
To find how well they were liked, the blog that carried out the report used an AI tool to search for certain tweets about those brands, and analyze how positively each were talked about.
The program then sensed any positive sentiment present in the tweets, and subsequently determined which local brands are liked.
Merchant Machine, the blog, proceeded to map out the most-loved in each nation – and some of the conclusions may come as a surprise.

Across the pond, the most-liked was another high-end seller, Burberry, the London-based fashion house worth roughly $6billion.
The results make clear that both Americans and their counterparts over the Atlantic prefer high-quality products even when charged a premium – especially if met with stellar customer service and luxurious displays used to win over customers.
Elsewhere across the globe, results alternated from more of the same to markedly different.
For instance, in Scotland, the most loved company was Renfrewshire-based Mackays, one of the country’s best known clothing chains – despite rumors over the brand’s economic situation, as it was just put up for the sale for the second time in three years.

In Denmark, citizens seemed to prefer the taste of a cold can of Carlsberg to a fine-fitting suit or dazzling necklace, according to the result – with Copenhagen-based beermaker Carlsberg beating other brands like Lego to earn the distinction of the country’s most beloved brand
This past month, the company – which began operations in 1938 – confirmed suspicions about its flailing profits, announcing it would close all 170 Scottish stores this spring, with the loss of almost 2,000 jobs.
Still, with all these developments – which were likely noticed by Merchant Machine’s AI tool – the historic brand managed to secure one of 195 top spots.
Markedly more different were results received in countries like Denmark and Cyprus, both of which saw breweries balloon to the top of their lists of beloved brands.
In the southernmost Scandinavian country, citizens seemed to prefer the taste of a cold can of Carlsberg to a fine-fitting suit or dazzling necklace – with the Copenhagen beermaker beating other brands like Lego to surface as most beloved.

In Russia, citizens’ sentiment saw local supermarket chain DIXY – the country’s third-largest grocer – hit the top spot. The brand has emerged over the past decade as a prime competitor to longtime stalwarts Magnit and X5 Retail.
The store likely took first place due to a combination of affordability and accessibility, with roughly 2,600 of its 2,650 stores situated in out-of-the way rural areas.
The report also broke down four other brands in the US that ranked behind Tiffany, with software company Salesforce coming in at number two and theme park giant/filmmaker Universal Studios taking third.
Other companies in the American top ten included Cisco, Intel, and Dell, demonstrating residents love for big-tech.
The company also ranked the world’s most hated brands – with results for both distinctions available here.
