I have enjoyed my stays in the past here at Seal Beach with Travelodge. I am sorry to report that my stay ended in a confrontation with the clerk. a clerk, customer service! I had a late check out. Went to load my car, my room was far from the elevator. I went back to my room to get another load and I was locked out of my room. Discouraged and in a bit of pain, I went to the desk “tossed” my room key on the counter and let them know the issue. The clerk took it very personally. He did not make me feel comfortable as a guest, instead he dug into me saying it was not his fault and “to quit treating him like a dog”. instead of apologizing and fixing the issue. he left me feeling deflated when I was already irritated by packing up my vehicle in one swift exit. I am customer service, I know how to treat a client/customer and that was not the way! I had another room reserved for Christmas. I cancelled my stay with Travelodge Ocean Front at Seal Beach and will not go back. I’m sure this will go on Deaf Ears, but thank you for letting me vent my frustration. Happy Holidays to you.
